Hi I'm having problems with a pulsing in my left ear and pain in my neck. Will I die if I don't go to the doctors or can it just go away? I'm quite worried and can not sleep because of the sound. Are there any medications that can help?

      Hi @Isaiahstanman

No, I don't think you'll die if you don't go to a doctor. Right now, just observe your pulsatile tinnitus, to see if it has a pattern, or if it becomes constant. If yours is intermittent, it may go away on its own.

In the meantime, you might try to notice if it gets worse when you eat certain foods, drink certain drinks, or exercise.
There are many possible causes for PT, so it's hard to say what may have set it off. Have you gained or lost weight recently, do you have jaw problems, are you taking any prescription drugs? Perhaps something you're doing has caused it to begin.

Try to stay calm, and try some calming supplements, such as magnesium, to help you. For some people, taking extra vitamin B-12 may help.

Take care, and please keep us posted on how you're doing.
