Hello everyone, lovely to meet you all. I am a man, aged 31 and have had tinnitus going on a year.
I first noticed hissing in my ears last September when I was going through a particularly stressful time. This was shortly followed by what I can only describe as a whistle sound that I can hear off in the distance.
I can hear it wherever I am, so long as it's quiet. It's not 'localised' to the ears like the hissing and it's not that difficult to ignore. It went away for a long time but this past week has resurfaced. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
I think it could be triggered through my movements because sometimes I noticed it's more prominent whatever way I move my head. It's just very odd! Could it be related to my neck muscles or even my jaw as I get a lot of cracking/clicking and tension?
Please share your thoughts. Thank you.
