Cause of Tinnitus

Hey guys, new to T, but figured I'd like to see if anyone has the same interests as I do. Anyways I'm a huge gear head, cars are my passion and I plan to go into the automotive industry, on the business side. Hopefully my T doesn't affect my ability to focus in school to much. So, if any of you are into cars or driving I'd like to here about. I'll start:

Drive a 99 civic, but am looking forward to the day I can own a sports car and can hopefully track it.
Favourite car: 911 gt3
Also I would really like to get my motorcycle license within the next couple years.

So lets hear it!

Hi Bertman been in the motor trade for some years now. Worked for Aston Martin, TVR, ford, VW Audi and now currently self employed mechanic. Keeping my self busy helps me not to focus on my tinnitus.

I didn't grow up working on cars and I don't work in the industry... but I do love mustangs. I recently finished up a restoration of a '69 mustang with my father-in law. I've learned a tremendous amount working on this car.

That mustang u restored is beautiful , what are u planning to do with it ?
Drive it! Of course, mostly on weekends and sunny days. I take it to local car shows or cruise ins.

And of course, I still work on it. There are still things I want to improve and upgrade on it.

Thats very interesting, Working for Aston and TVR must've been cool! What I'm worried about is that Im going into the business side and feel like there will be a lot of long, quiet office hours, which will only make my T more noticeable. The thought of not being able to concentrate on work/school scares the crap out of me if I eventually want to move my way up in a company.

I'm sure youll be fine. you will. find a way to deal with it.when you have tinnitus you find ways and means to deal with issues such as working in quite environments .

Good to hear that, Thanks.
Cars are a hobby of mine also. My current toy is a 2008 Subaru Wrx Sti I purchased new. I did a few upgrades, larger turbo and intercooler, fuel system, exhaust, methanol injection and too much more to list. makes 400 horsepower at the wheels on a mustang Dyno (about 480 crank hp). Sadly haven't been driving it too much as its a bit louder than a normal car lol.

Anyways back on topic, I think if I was going to restore a car I'd look for a 240z. Love the looks and sound of them. A classic sports car
