If you are trying to sleep and tinnitus is really bothering you, you may be in the "fight or flight" mode. "Fight or flight" energy is great if you are running away from danger, but not if the annoyance is within you.

Instead of staying in bed burning hardly any of that energy off, get up and do jumping jacks (as long as you are healthy) to "burn off" the energy.

If you can put some masking noises in the background like rain sounds or something, that would be good too.

Hopefully, this will make you tired and more calm and then you can sleep easier.

Does anyone else have any tips, feedback, or suggestions?

Jumping jacks at bedtime? Surely that’s just gonna hype you up more. You gotta get the exercise in early doors and then chill at bedtime as much as possible.

Get some booze and herbs down you and then once you’ve got your bedroom sounding like a rainforest, let the sqwawking macaws and chorus of insects carry your mind toward something pleasant, like an Amazonian princess, instead of the insatiable screaming in your head......Not easy but that’s the dogshit hand we cursed bastards have been dealt.
