When I first got tinnitus, hyperacusis and vertigo I had just moved into my new home. Someone suggested I remove my smart meter from the power company company. I had Googled something about that so I pulled the trigger.

Well, I got my smart meter removed it and had no effect on any of my systems. I did get diagnosed with TMJ and sleep apnea as well as anxiety issues so those seem most likely at this point since my hearing is good.

Troubleshooting the root of my tinnitus is one of the most expense endeavors I have taken. It's crazy since most say, it's not until you give up and relax can we heal.

My tinnitus started within 12 months of getting a smart meter. Unfortunately I didn't know it had been installed. I went & saw an ENT - nothing wrong, just told to deal with (he wasn't at all empathetic, in fact he was a real arsehole). Sometimes I didn't notice it at all but that was always when I was somewhere else and for quite a long time I didn't realise I wasn't aware of what wasn't there.

I didn't discover I had a smart meter for about 4 years by which time I was nearly going insane with the constant screeching.

I tried to get it removed but the power company would only remove the communications chip. Didn't help.

I then went to audiologist who specialises in tinnitus and he introduced me to sound therapy (listening to nature sounds minimum 6 hours/day or night). I think it was finally starting to improve things - I'm sure about 6 months ago it was somewhat improved. Then I had to relocate about 2 months ago to a house with a smart meter and it flared up to a whole new level of hell overnight.

And now I have to live with that 24/7 and I am convinced it's because of the smart meter (and all the other EMFs around us).

I have been diagnosed with severe electromagnetic hypersensitivity so it makes sense that EMFs would affect me.

Problem is, once you get tinnitus, especially if it's caused or aggravated by smart meters, does it ever go away? Does anyone know or have experience or an opinion about this? It just seems so wrong that we have to pay our power companies to poison us with their toxic wares in order for us to have electricity.

I know another person in Melbourne who claimed his tinnitus was caused by a smart meter.
He was thinking of moving to the country away from EMFs.
He also had his house "shielded" but I don't know many details.
I haven't heard from him in a long time so not sure if it helped.

I had an electric smart meter added to my gas and electric service. I feel my tinnitus has gotten worse. Has anyone else noticed this?
