      Hello,

I am considering to do a cosmetic treatment with HIFU, High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound to reduce fat in the belly.

I wonder if the use of ultrasounds might be bad for my current tinnitus, which is in both ears, since 5 years ago, probably related to acoustic trauma.

Does anyone have any experience with it?

The technology is also used to safely treat many types of cancer.
      Thanks.

I’m not sure how noisy HIFU is but I looked into fat freezing the other day and the machine is very very loud, too loud for my liking, I would not dare to spend 30 minutes next to it.

Ultrasound is probably not as loud, you can try it using good ear protection.

Ultrasound per se won’t affect your tinnitus.

Hey, thanks for your reply. I'm not worry about loudness but the effect of actually having ultrasounds directed to my body through my skin... it's intuitive to think that might have an effect but don't know for sure.
