Can Lowering Blood Pressure Help with Pulsatile Tinnitus?

Hi all,

As we know, pulsatile tinnitus is the sound of blood cruising around and through the ear.

Can lowering blood pressure make this sound quieter?

Absolutely it can and does. Ever wake up from an intense dream or nightmare with it going off in your head like a car alarm and then start some breathing exercises to relax and hear it come down in both volume and speed? That's why stress management is big part of dealing with it. The calmer you are the quieter it is. When it picks up with exercise and what not, well that you just have to suck up - but it's for the greater good in the end.
