This thing seems to be really loud, from Wikipedia:

"Upon detonation, it emits an intensely loud "bang" of 170–180 decibels and a blinding flash of more than one million candela within five feet of initiation"

They don't sound like the ideal birthday gift for your nephew if you were wondering about that.

I thought that there was a limit to what people can survive and it was around 180dB before your inner orgns start bursting?

170 dB is more than a thousand times louder than the threshold of pain (140 dB).

Or, seen from another viewpoint, even wearing double protection (earplugs + earmuffs) which attenuate about 35 decibels, the perceived sound would be about as loud as a jet engine taking off.

I would stay very far from this stuff, if at all possible.
