Can You Make Your Hiss Louder by Stressing Your Jaw?

Discussion in 'Support' started by Constable85, Aug 18, 2015.

    1. If I stress my jaw (not sure how else to say it) I make the hiss in my right ear 1000x louder. Anyone else have that same thing?

That's one of the things that makes me think my T is at least partly genetic. I've been able to make that sound by clenching my jaw since I can remember.

I know a number of people without tinnitus who can do the same thing. I think it's just a physiological thing, you're increasing blood pressure and muscle tension right around the auditory nerve.
