Central Tinnitus, New Tinnitus Sounds

Can thinking about a sound be so powerful as to make you perceive that you can hear it? I don't know how or why but it seems like my tinnitus went from unilateral to bilateral right now with a new tone in the mix. Or is it my "Central" T. I am super confused and irritated. I probably have the two biggest exams of my life in the next 7 days and my concentration has gone haywire. I was fine with just unilateral T, I don't know what happened and why this happened.

I've been asking the same question myself!
I got two new tones a month ago and they are not letting go.
Why?
