Hello I have hyperacusis and stapedius myoclonus from 2010.
Someone have visited this clinic? I don't know is be worth the effort travel there.
I need to know if I need a surgery or botox or... for my stapedius myoclonus.

I haven't a clue but I would really think before having surgery. It can cause hyperacusis...which means for you, make it worse? Botox is interesting..Hope someone on here can help you!

I think the question of surgery is difficult because hyperacusis is a symptom, not a disease of itself, therefore surgery may not always be the right course of action. The trouble lies with identifying the actual causes of the hyperacusis as it presents in each individual, and being able to decide when surgery will help and when it won't. For some it has definitely helped (assuming this is about the muscle cutting only, not the window bulking surgery) and for others its made things worse, with no way back.
