As I mentioned earlier, I am currently browsing university websites based on the 2024 Shanghai Ranking to find information about tinnitus research.

The Most Interesting Needle in the World?

As usual, it will be interesting to follow the researchers, Anil Lalwani and Jeffrey Kysar, to see whether a patent is filed or a spin-off company is created.
 
In my eyes, this is a game changer. Just imagine what we can do now. The phrase "the inner ear is a black box" no longer applies. This is incredible new information.

I'm not well-informed about gene therapy, but with this development, it should be possible to regenerate the inner ear—or at the very least, to understand what is going on and target it with other drugs.
