      Tinnitus Since:

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      TOO MUCH DEPAKOTE
Have you tried Betahistine 16mg × 3 times a day?

I developed tinnitus due to being administered too much Depakote whilst being treated for hypomania. When the tinnitus became severe, when I didn't go out of the house, I made an appointment with my GP who prescribed the aforementioned Betahistine. It helped at first but like any medication it became less effective.

I have hearing loss, which was confirmed by an audiologist.

So, at present I am waiting to be seen by an ENT Doctor to establish if I require a hearing aid and if this will help mask the tinnitus. I am sort of relieved, not in a bad way that I am not the only one out there who has tinnitus.

About a month of betahistine didn't work for me. Didn't have any improvements. 24mg x 3.
