Did my doctor treat me right in your opinion? Are steroids useful now?

when i visited my doctor in may two days after acoustic trauma (loud concert), he didn't offer any drugs or help.

now i've been reading steroids might have helped me if given early... is that true? why didn't my doctor do so?

is there any possibility steroids could help me now... several months after onset?

thank you...

Hi @SweetPeach -

I am not aware of any studies showing that steroids are of help in acoustic trauma even if given immediately after the insult. A number of physicians do it, but that decision is more of a "what's to lose?" type of thing than a considered decision based on data.
