Forgive me, I am new here, started to read but the different types of tinnitus was kind-of confusing to me. Maybe someone has some input in this after I explain my situation?
For as long as I can remember, I have had a ringing in both ears accompanied by total sound cancellation. This will last for roughly 5 to 20 seconds then return to normal.
Another ear problem I have is "birds" chirping in my right ear. About 49 years ago I had very bad ear infection in that ear which leads me to believe is the cause of that problem now. It happens more after I wash my hair and get water in that ear or when my seasonal allergies act up. I know most times it is a result of liquid in that ear because I can move my neck below that ear and make the chirping noise increase or decrease.
Right now I manage to not allow these to bother me. If my environment is normal or quiet I can hear very well, however, when there are loads of other noises around me, I cannot hear a thing a person is saying to me. This can be embarrassing to me when I constantly have to ask them to repeat themselves to me.
