Hello,

I'm sorry if my question sounds confusing.

I'm wondering if you are feeling the "presence" of tinnitus even when you mask it or overpower it with a shower or traffic outside?

I feel like it's always there. Even if I use noise generator, get into a shower or go outside I feel a looming presence of it. What I mean is that even I if I don't hear the noise I'm still left with some sort of an aftertaste that doesn't let me relax.

The physiological damage (at least for me) is equal whether I hear it or not. I'm in a very stressful situation right now so I'm not sure if I'm just freaking out or is it real.

Do you have a similar experience or will it go away once I calm down?
