Greetings to everyone. My name is Edilson, I'm 24 y/o and from Brazil. I've never had issues with Tinnitus, ear noises and these conditions, until 4 days ago.
Due to an infection, my doctor ordered me to take 100mg DoxycyclineHyclate twice a day, for 10 days. Well everything was okay, until in the fourth day, when I noticed a Tinnitus, a noise inside my ears , that is like a high frequency sound, it is not very strong, but is still anoying and make me worry about any complications It could bring.
My hearing quality seems to be the same as before, but if it's really doxy that is bringing the noises, what should I do?
My doc said doxy can bring the skull pressure high, and that may cause such disturbs, but it's not ototoxic and as it will be a short-term use, I shouldn't stop taking it, unless I feel worse.
What you guys think, have you ever experienced T due to antibiotics? If yes, is it reversible with the withdrawal of the drug?
