Cause of Tinnitus
Music (loud noise)
So I've had tinnitus for two years now. It has gone worse however due to control of how much music I take in daily (not listening to music in the bus anymore) I've been able to reduce the damage done to my ears. A very good thing.

But for the last six months I've had problems with my eustachian tube. I've been able to control the cracking at will and since I don't use ear plugs as i used to my pain is gone. I went to see a doc about this around the same time as it happened and she told me that there was nothing to worry about. It would go by itself when I did this little technique (you just hold on to your nose and blow slightly in so it would go up and pressurize your ears). That's what I was told to do.

Going into the future, last week I was very ill and could not control the tube. But now when the illness is gone I can only control one ear. The other seem to not want to cooperate with me. I can still hear fine, no pain until I blow air into that ear.

The question here is, should I worry and if so why and will I be able to control it again?

Thanks.
