Hi,
@Omar Alam,
I have the same two conditions you have: A high-pitched constant tinnitus in my right ear, along with pulsatile tinnitus in the same ear. Mine started suddenly, too, after I took a blood pressure drug for the first time.
It's possible that yours started because you already had some hearing loss in that ear, and it was already sensitive. Then, when you contracted the flu, it was a sudden change within the body that might have set it off. Since yours is so new, it's possible that it will subside in time.
There are many possible causes for pulsatile tinnitus, usually vascular, but not always. If it becomes very annoying to you, you could try going to a specialist to get checked out. They might be able to find some reason behind your pulsatile tinnitus. If so, it can be very treatable, depending upon the condition.
I've had mine for over six years now, and the good news is, even if you never find the cause, it becomes more bearable over time. I am back to sleeping normally again, and living my life normally again.
If you do decide to go to a specialist for your PT, I hope you'll post again to let us know what the doctor finds.
Best wishes for a calm evening,
Karen
