You aren't crazy. I've had Tinnitus for 3.5 months and in the last month I have really noticed my eye floaters flare up as well as other strange visual symptoms. I'd explain this to doctors and they look at me like I'm a looney hypochondriac who googled my symptoms. Turns out damaged hearing can affect your vision. It is called a thalamocortical dysrhythmia.

A NY Times article on it: https://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/02/health/research/02prof.html

YouTube video of a sufferer:

yes I heard many people say tinnitus came with visual snow, I am so lucky I do not have visual snow.

9:35 he says "Rational Treatments for tinnitus" that gets me excited. I wonder what the irrational treatments are considered to be? *coughs TRT.

I have eye floaters. Recently since my tinnitus got very severe I got dark eye floaters, mind you I never had this in my life. Not even when I had Mild T.

Chad you're not alone I have gotten it really bad lately. Almost like an acid trip with my visuals. I can see inside my eye lens and make images with the floaters. They're relentless and even when masking my tinnitus a great reminder it's still there

I got it too! It's Visual Snow Syndrome. Luckily I have a friend who doesn't have T that has had it her whole life to the degree I have it and so I was able to adapt quickly and forget about it most days.

Same thing happened with me. Always had clear eye floaters that I only saw when I looked at the sky. Once the tinnitus happened, I got dark ones that I can see everywhere on top of the clear squiggly lines.

Yup, mine are unbearable. Can't go outside without really dark sunglasses otherwise it is a cascade of floaters. Just when I thought I could adjust and get use to the ringing in my head, I'm reminded of it every minute when I see a swirl of gnats flying around in my eyes.

I get this in varying degrees. Can be squiggles or darker floaters or visual snow.

Annoying, certainly, but preferable to the tinnitus

Same. How is your T?

I have good days and bad days still. Still ringing away. I find my brain occasionally forgetting about it when I have conversations sometimes but it comes back as soon as I'm done chatting so I suppose its some form of habituation occurring. I'm not sure what bugs me more now, the ringing or the eye floaters. How about yours?

tinnitus by far really bothers me.

Still got the eye floaters and still ringing away. Ear ringing has improved a hair but it still causes me a great deal of distress. Trying to use TRT principles to improve my mental state. I have good days and bad days with it.
