Isn't this a bit exaggerated? I can't imagine that the damage would be so sever and instant. But surely it's not healthy in the long run to turn the volume up to the max. Yet so many people keep coming back on forums and complaining about Samsung's listening level warning in their smartphones. This is the very meaning of being a "smart" phone. Phones that don't do the same should be called dumbphones.

How do you know it's of endolymphatic origin? Did you get a diagnosis by a doctor?

I'm also baffled that there is just zero awareness of the link between loud music and T. Loud music and hearing loss, yes; but I remember blasting music at max volume and thinking "I don't care about hearing loss, at least this noisy world will get a bit quieter." HAHA! The irony!

They should play some T sounds over the school radio for a while and they'd need to bring in fresh garbage bins for all the earphones being thrown away.

I always knew a little about the risk. But not that I'd get it from normal parties. Or that I'd give it to myself the day I was talking about it, by my headphone accident.

You can imagine how stupid I felt because a week later I went to a party, partly protected. Because I thought "this damage is done", and if you don't get any new accoustic trauma this will stay the same somehow.. I was talking with people who had T for a few years I guess I shouldn't, because I felt safe now..
