Has Anyone Tried Tiagabine for Tinnitus (or for Something Else While You Had Tinnitus?

Did it lower the tinnitus? Did it affect your tinnitus good or bad? Did you take it long term?

 

I was thinking about trying Tiagabine if the doc will prescribe it for me. It went generic in April. Anyone else heard of or tried this?

zero effect, but only used very short term.

a few days maybe? I still have a vial of it, there's a supplement supplier in the US that sells it.

Tiagabine isn't over the counter.

 

Sorry, I'm mistaken. I've confused this with tianeptine, which is also a prescription drug that has no business being sold as a supplement, but is (or was as of a year ago).

Tiagabine I would expect to suppress tinnitus in the same way that Sabril does, but irreversible GABA uptake inhibitors always seemed too scary to muck with to me.
