      Hello,

I was diagnosed with pulsatile tinnitus and successfully treated for two dural artriovenous fistulas in August 2015 (using embolization). No sound anymore, nice and quiet. However I developed terrible headaches plus migraine type headaches in addition. I am happy to get rid of the noise but bad headaches wouldn’t let me live my life fully. I was wondering if someone else experienced the same and what they did about it. Is it fairly common? The doctor warned us that the headaches will be there for at least the first week after the procedure, but they persist. Will they ever go away?

      Thank you,

      Alla

      Hi, Alla,

I'm sorry no one has so far responded to your question. I don't know how many people we have on Tinnitus Talk who have had this procedure. I'm happy for you, that you are rid of the pulsatile tinnitus, but sorry you are continuing to have headaches.

Here is a link to a study I found about this procedure:
      http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24801821

I hope the headaches begin to dissipate soon for you.

      Best wishes,
      Karen
