Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

A copy of my audiogram in case anyone was interested, I know a few people have asked. This is a year on from the onset of my hearing loss. Top line is my left ear (good) the other line (that turns non existent) is my right ear (bad)

A normal hearing range is anything 20 decibels and lower which as you can see my left ear is fine but my right ear can only hear anything below the pitch of 750hz which typically is a low pitch for example a deep male voice. Noting this my speech recognition in that ear is compleatly ruined therefor I cannot have normal hearing aid. I have been offered a Cross Aid but have refused at this time as im coping quite well unaided. It is an option for the future though.

@caffclifton ....The last time that @attheedgeofscience was logged in was June 15th. I read somewhere that he might have left the forum for good. I'm hoping that's not true.

He did say that. He underwent stem cell therapy and apparently did good things for his T and other health issues. People tend to move on.

I'm not sure to what extent he is involved in team trobalt or if he completely crossed all tinnitus related things out of his life. Good on him anyways.

 

No team trobalt icon below his avatar. I read the information tab on his profile page: highly informative. the depth of his knowledge (and personal experience) is impressive. It says at the end of the page that he has left the forum...
