Just found the forums today, so am looking forward to "hearing" other people's stories about tinnitus.
I've had tinnitus since about 1975, so 40 years this year. It started within a few hours of going to a Led Zeppelin concert and was very scary at first. I had to go to sleep with the radio on for years, but eventually got used to not doing that. It's gotten louder over the years for sure. I also go through periods where I can't hear the ringing at all, or it's loud for hours and sometimes days. Anyone know why that is? Also before a loud spell, sometimes the ringing will stop for a couple of seconds and then come on strong.
