I've had a loud hissing noise, like a plague of crickets, in both ears for about 2 years now. I try not to let it get me down but at the moment it is driving me bonkers. I also have a big Rhinitus problem which leaves my head/nose/ears congested and when that's bad the tinnitus is unbearable .... like now! I do wonder whether the 2 things are connected in some way.
It's the lack of peace and quiet that I miss. I used to read a lot but can't bear it now as I can only read when it's quiet and now can't concentrate.
Thankfully it doesn't affect my sleeping which is a big blessing.
