Hi genny, welcome to TT. I have never had the thunder exploding sounds, this is new to me. I am sure some here can tell you if have the same type of noise. There are many doctors who do not know how to talk to people with T.
Until someone else replies you should have a look on the "SUPPORT" forum and "The Positivity Thread"
I wish I could be of more help to you. Remember we all have T here, some mild and some very bad T We will do our best to help you.
Please keep posting and keep us updated.

      Genny and Gary,

There is something called "exploding head syndrome", that usually occurs before, or during, sleep. Here is a link to some information about it:

      http://www.sleepassociation.org/?p=explodingheadsyndrome

Genny, you could check with a doctor or sleep specialist to see if this could be your problem. If so, the article says that they sometimes treat it using anti-anxiety drugs.

Does anyone else on this forum know anything about this condition, or another similar condition?

Karen, thank for posting the link. I have never heard of that before. Very interesting article. I sure hope Genny follows up, and hope the clomipramine can help her. That has to be really tough along with T

Thank you, Gary. I first heard about exploding head syndrome on another forum. I hope this information will be helpful to Genny.
