How Can I Tell What Is Causing My Pulsatile Tinnitus

I have had unilateral (right side) pulsatile tinnitus for a number of years and have had a vascular sonogram and arteriogram, both with negative results. The only other thing I can think of that might be causing it is eustachian tube dysfunction. Can eustachian tube dysfunction cause pulsatile tinnitus? It feels as though I cannot fully clear my right eustachian tube, but I do not know if that is a sensation brought on by the tinnitus or an actual inability of the eustachian tube to open. If I do have eustachian tube dysfunction, (1) how does an ENT determine that diagnosis and (2) would I be a candidate for the balloon dilation procedure?

ETD can be diagnosed with a tiny camera up your nose by ENT...lots of love glynis
