It's a weird question but how do scientists test hearing or tinnitus meds on mice?
I mean ok I understand if the mice have some hearing problems. Mice would be able to hear sounds if the medicine worked, but how would they determine the same stuff about tinnitus, only the patient or the experimental subject can hear its own tinnitus, not the next person...
