How Do You Manage Restaurants with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis?

I've been at a bunch of restaurants during the holidays, in a large group, and found that wearing Apple AirPods have been really helpful. There are four settings, and I liked using full noise canceling but pulling the plug out slightly which allowed me to hear the guests nearby, but still get the benefit of some canceling.
