How Does Amlodipine Besylate Help Hearing Loss?

So my ENT is going to have me start on Amlodipine Besylate to hopefully help my hearing loss issues, but everywhere I read I cannot find any information on how Amlodipine Besylate actually helps hearing loss.

If anything I keep running into links talking about how it's ototoxic and can actually cause tinnitus and hearing loss, so maybe I am not reading the the right articles or understanding them.

Does anyone know how this calcium channel blocker could help issues with hearing loss?
