I'm not sure when I became deaf to those really really high frequencies (impossible for me to hear anything past 13000 Hz). Might have been the case since I was a child. My guess is due to ototoxicity.

Anyone else here have deafness to those frequencies?

I'm in my 50's so some degradation is to be expected. I haven't been tested officially, but using online and phone apps.....well then I am dependent on the output device. Not all chipsets and speakers on these devices can go to high high frequencies. My iphone seems to poop out near 12.5KhZ and my laptop is variable above 14Hz.

I think my cutoff is 13 or maybe 14kHz, so my ears are not the spring chickens they once were. Also, from what I can tell..... let's say I can hear 14kHz, well it is 1/10 the volume of what 10kHz is, so the practical cutoff may be something like 12.2 kHz.

Hope this helps.
