How to Use Sound Therapy for Hyperacusis?

Hi guys,

I have hyperacusis and have started using in-ear white noise generators for sound therapy. I just wanted to get some tips on how to use it, as the advice out there isn’t very clear.

I initially started using the noise generators on low volume and quickly increased it. I can now tolerate the max volume for 6 hours each day and it doesn’t make my hyperacusis or tinnitus any worse.

Is this the right way to do it? Or does the volume need to be set at a lower setting?
