Since my most recent acoustic trauma, it seems the increase in hyperacusis is affecting my sleep. With earplugs in, I'm still easily awoken by low-level noises in a quiet room. Masking has not helped. It's maddening. Does anyone else experience sleep issues with hyperacusis?

No, I used to sleep well even with really bad hyperacusis.

      Yea man, I used to.
If you're at a noisy place sadly there isn't much to do.

What you can do if you can is buying acoustic stuff to help, if you can't afford a acoustic window, curtains are a great deal for cheap price.

This is a last and unpleasant resource, that should be used only if nothing works and your hyperacusis isn't better; sleeping with ear muffs.

I don't know if your h is loudness or pain or how severe it is, but if you're at that situation because of a setback, time might help most of times.

Do you have tinnitus? How the heck do you sleep with earplugs in... it would be like sleeping through a fire alarm for me.

is this your hyperacusis or are you just a light sleeper? I would revisit the masking, perhaps your masker is not loud enough. What are you using?
