I feel there has to be an inflammation aspect to NIHL.

I'm 5 weeks in and sometimes my affected ear pops when swallowing, slightly similar to the valsalva maneuver although to a lesser degree. And other times it just sort of stops and "opens" up. I've noticed this off and on during my onset, especially stronger during the first 2-3 weeks. Then it goes away for a while, then comes back, then goes away, etc.

Guess I answered my own question. "Yes".

This has me interested in anti-inflammatory diets.

What's funny about it is that there's no surprise to them - Omega 3 from fish, lean protein, no processed carbs and sugars, lots of fruit and veggies.
