In February I went to see an ENT because of pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear. They did a hearing test and I failed it bad. They removed some dead skin and my hearing got worse but right at that moment the pulsatile tinnitus went away.
We waited a month, did a CT scan and, to get my hearing back to normal, they suggested Tympanoplasty because my eardrum was retracted. I had the surgery done this past Thursday. And now the pulsatile tinnitus is back. My ear is still packed with stuff from the surgery and I don't think the hearing is that great yet.
Is the pulsatile tinnitus due to the Tympanoplasty and will it go away once the ear is cleaned out, or am I hearing the original pulsatile tinnitus because my hearing improved from the Tympanoplasty procedure?
Anyone have a similar experience after Tympanoplasty?
Thanks!
