Is There a Point Where Tinnitus Can't Get Any Louder?

Is there a point where tinnitus can't get any louder or hearing loss and damage can no longer progress?

 

Hearing loss can always progress. With T loudness I was wondering it myself. Sometimes at night it gets so loud that it feels like jet engines operating in my ears.. I don't think it can get any louder because my brain would not register it..

 

I agree with Sandman about hearing loss adding that the more hearing loss you have, the louder T will appear. But hearing loss aside, how loud can it actually get?

Hearing loss can continue until you're 100% deaf.

 

I keep thinking I have reached maximum volume but 7 years later with worsening tinnitus and it has continued to get louder, even over the past 2 weeks. If and when I get to maximum volume I'll let you know.

 

I don't think wondering about this is good for anxiety.

the most scientific way to find out how loud it can get would be to consume large amounts of amphetamines and LSD, and then shoot off handguns right by your ears without earplugs

 

Well if I knew I live only one day longer more I would try the lsd thingy but ... apart from that thanks, but not thanks
