Latest Symptoms (Sudden Sharp Pain Deep Inside My Ear and Hearing Goes Very Dull in That Ear)

What is happening to me now is this... I get a sudden sharp pain deep inside my ear and my hearing in that ear goes very dull. Now it feels like there is something in my ear but there isn't. Then it often rights itself but it keeps happening. Doctor says no infection present. I have TMJ that comes and goes.

I am VERY worried.

Any idea as to what this is please? Is it the TMJ?
