Looking for Best Home Entertainment Speakers. Suggestions?

I have crap speakers. I need new ones. My ears are being trashed watching TV, spinning records etc.

Is Bose the best? Is there a cheaper yet good alternative?

I have increased tinnitus. Reactive tinnitus. Some hyperacusis with pain, time to time.

Currently I am mainly using subtitles and listening to music sparingly.

Need bookends & sound bar for TV.

Edit. A quick google search and found Bose Bookends for 100 bucks... but they must be tiny? That seems cheap!

We had to disconnect our home entertainment speakers. They are the Bose speakers mounted on the corners of the room. I couldn't take the sound from the speakers. My tinnitus/hyperacusis went crazy. I must also say that the media room is all hardwood floors and glass windows so it may be different for others with carpeting or drapery which would absorb the sound waves a bit.
