My GP reluctantly prescribed me a Medrol Pack, a corticosteroid hormone. He was not to confident it would do anything for me but said give it a try. I took Prednisone about 8 weeks ago. Any one experienced using this oral steroid or have an opinion about it?

I did the Medrol 6-day dose pack in April; my T symptoms were dramatically reduced for about 4-5 weeks following that. I would wake up during the night and think, "Something's different ..." The difference was the lack of noise in my head ... it was simply not there! Slowly, the noise came back though. As of today (July 9th) I'm back where I was. I would love to do the Medrol again but you can't do it frequently because there are many very bad side effects. My doc says to wait 6-12 months! I have heard about doing a "maintenance dose" of prednisolone which I will explore further next time I see the doc. The 4-5 week respite was wonderful ... guess I'm thankful for that!

i had a terrible cold, and my 5600 hz, loud tinnitis that i had in one ear, decided to go to both ears, and i was desperate for sleep i couldn't take it (I have had t since 10/2013... this was recent 11/2014). One of those multi day methylprednisolone packs made the tinnitis in the new ear go away 100%, and the tinnitis in the other ear went to 1% of normal volume, almost imperceivable. For about a week i had silence, life was grand. However the original ear quickly went back to normal volume. The 2nd ear never rang again.

Guys. If you are as desperate as me why do not look at this? Gosh, where can I find this?

@Beste you live in Turkey right?
If your medical system is as f*cked up as here in Greece (and I suspect it is), you can probably walk into any pharmacy and buy Medrol without a prescription or anything.
If they don't have Medrol, you can surely get Prednisone or Prednisolone, which have similar properties.
Look into a corticosteroid equivalence page to find out what and how much to buy.

Yes, I live in Turkey and we are f*cked up in every aspect by our government. I can honestly say that I have never thought I would be thankful for that.

Thank you. I'm now on my way to pharmacy.
