Suppose you get a mild tinnitus spike from some harmless noise exposure such as going to the gym or a mall. Usually, such spikes gradually fade away.
However, for me sometimes the reset is not a process, but an instant: I have the mild spike, then suddenly I experience half a second of dizziness and deafness, and then the spike is over and the tinnitus has reset to the baseline. Just like someone hit the power off/on switch in some subcomponent of the brain and it rebooted.
Does anyone else experience this?
