Cause of Tinnitus
Acoustic trauma (go-kart racing)
This week has been a freaking rough one. I have got exposed to many loud sounds:
a stapler gun, shouting, swimming, door slamming and an alarm clock. I also had yesterday a 4 hour car trip but I used earplugs the whole trip. :beeranimation:

Well we are currently moving so I had to help my dad. (There were other people helping too.) So I went to the storage with my dad and there were so many loud sounds: people shouting, carts rolling (kind of like shopping carts that are used in storages, you know?) and also objects falling on the floor for example a pile of metal frames fell on the floor.

Gladly I was using earplugs but they were too big. I don't know how many decibels did they make noises quieter I hope at least 3dB. :notworthy: But on top of my earplugs I used my Bose quiet comfort 25 headphones.(y)

I was helping my dad for 2,30 hours and was at the storage for about 1,30 hours. My T has spiked and my left ear feels full.

Did I damage my hearing really bad?:banghead:

Tomorrow I should help him again so should I go and bring good earplugs or tell him that I can't really come.:bag:

:thankyousign:

Peltor muffs + earplugs provide good protection. Any one of those minor incidents is probably ok, but eventually I can see quantity transforming into quality and some actual damage being done.
