Thanks for asking these questions! I guess we'll see how accurate their publication estimates are in a few months....

It would be nice if this worked even a little.

No problem, and yes it would. They do seem suspiciously evasive, which is quite frustrating. It makes me think of way the results of the ANM trial seemed to be suppressed (although I hope I am wrong in both cases):

Shouldn't one be able to prove beyond a doubt that the underlying theory is correct, simply by anesthetizing the entire face (with novocaine for example)? The subject's tinnitus should then come to a complete stop.

That appears to be the case. Probably not a good sign as I'm sure they would have been on here extoling the virtues if there were any positive results.

Maybe it's made them 'mute' and they can't find the 'button'.

hey guys. Been following this thread for a while but this is my first time commenting. I'm from ireland and have had tinnitus going on two months now. Got it on night after a nightclub and it never went away since. very high pitched eeeeeeeeee. Worked with the father at construction during holidays and all as a kid and am a cabinet maker by trade. Always wore protection as a cabinet maker but not much on construction sites when i was younger say 15-18 that and loud nightclub music i suspect are the culprits. Anyway I'm heading up to Dublin this week for a consultation with Mutebutton so will keep you guys posted on how it goes. The T has faded alot since the start and i'm hopeful it will go or stay very low like it has been lately. Unless it gets very bad i will not be purchasing it and the fact there seems to be little info about it apart from there website but if i do get it I'll keep you guys posted but either way will let you know by this friday how the consultation goes.

I don't believe neuromod listening devices really work or if they do it is for tonal type tinnitus which most people do not have. But that is my own opinion. These types of devices have been around for years, I mean 5+ years or more and if they really made that much of a difference we would all know about it and be clamoring to get one even if it cost $6000.

I would say if you can get one, go for it. You want to do all that you can for yourself and not have regrets later. I spent $1000s on drs, treatments and supplements. And I still have T. But I don't regret it for a minute. I had to do what I had to do for myself. I think once I was able to do everything in my power to get rid of my T and still not, then I can then move on a live with it.

ya i can see what you mean. Like my dad had it for years and i never knew until i mentioned it to him that i had it and he is completely habituated to it. I've been following the other threads as well like Am-101 and its an interesting time for treatment. Tbh that vagus nerve stimulation would be my first hoice to go for if it was available in the morning

My dad also. He has had T for over 35 years from his time in the military. He says it is loud, but doesn't bother him any more. With heart issues ( 3 heart surgeries in past 20 years), diabetes, Hepatitis C and his other health issues, I think tinnitus is low on his list of priorities.

      Hey guys

I went for my consultation with mutebutton after. First thing was I did a questionare like everywhere else to see what level was I at. Then she asked me few questions when did it start and all. Did a hearing test up to 12000khz which I taught was great as most only do 8000khz. Measured my tinnitus and all to. Because mine is only so recent and is fizzling out he recons it will go and that I don't need the device. I don't come within the range that they offer it for either. E.g loudness and such. She told me she has tinnitus herself as well. I have to say they were very professional and listened to me as well. She recommended some techniques to help me put my mind off of it as well. I left feeling a lot better tbh. Even do I cannot comment on how the device would work id say don't hesitate to go for a consultation as they are genuine and not just graben our money

In fairness, the Mutebutton device is designed to REDUCE the tinnitus levels in users. They don't claim that your tinnitus will be eliminated.

The device came from Paul Bach-y-Rita's brain port. You can youtube it, the theory behind this stuff is pretty heavy, simplistic from outset but heavy.

It costs 2.500 pounds. But if relief is 40% than it worth.

If anyone can afford this easly and try, let give us some report.

      I will appreciate that!
