Awareness I think it is beyond that what about a big caution sign that says hissing buzzing static sound in your head doesn't go away, deal with it. On every corner.

We should just rename this site anxietytalk, because that's the only issue most helpers here talk about fixing.

 

Probably because that condition at least has treatment options, and because some members seem to have a greater problem with anxiety than tinnitus.

 

I give the medical community a lot of shit for not caring about tinnitus (rightfully so), but at least they acknowledge it's existence. At least half the medical community refuses to admit Visual Snow exists. No idea why though.

I would not say acknowledge, I would say a look of weirdness is more like it.

 

They acknowledge it, although they don't know how to fix it, or the nature of it. Seriously I've asked a doctor back when I had bad VS, and they just told me VS didn't exist. It's so stupid...

@threefirefour The highest level of neck and jaw disability are with higher levels of muscle tenderness in the upper part of the trapezius muscle and temporalis bone. This may be the most important comment that I have made on this board.

The upper trapezius muscle acts to elevate the scapula. My neuro group examined hundreds of highly specialized exams and found this connection with almost every patient.

A simple exercise for trapezius needs to be done before C1 - C2 therapy of alignment with jaw and SCM therapy. The exercise is just raising shoulders and slowly turning head to one side, then the other.

Dude TMJ is kicking my butt. I am getting bothered by the clicking each time i open my jaw.

 

For me it got so much worse all of the sudden. Both tmd and tinnitus. It clicks, cracks, and aches. I'm going to get a brace fitted very soon because it's so much worse now.

 

Dude same here, well Tinnitus dosent worry me, for some reason i have ETD as well. My mucus membrane in the right nostril is inflamed.
I heard that you cant cure TMJ
