Cause of Tinnitus
Gunshot Exposure
It's my 36th week with tinnitus after loud noise exposure. I am continuing to live very normal life that I had prior to T. I basically do not hear it at all except some static when I go to sleep. On occasion when I wake up at night I would hear mild ringing, and I would be like "Hah... Haven't heard that in a while.." But there is no onset of panic, just mild curiosity. I would go back to sleep and wake up without the sound. At night my bedroom is extremely quite, like a coffin. Even healthy ears could start playing tricks on you.

Maybe twice in the past month I had pulsanite T in my left ear. It would last about an second. I do not think that it's fully related to my acoustic trauma, and both times it was when I was a bit stressed and nervous.

If I haven't mentioned this before I am completely off any meds. I stopped drinking my liquid vitamin, but that is mostly because I forget too. I will start again just for overall health. I also continue to drink the vegetable juice I mentioned in my previous post.

If anyone reading this believes their life is over because they got T then it's totally not true. You are probably feeling scared, paranoid, hopeless. It is odd how T makes a person go through common stages of grief (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kübler-Ross_model). Please remember that your body and mind are fantastic in healing and adopting. Give it time and do not get in their way by diverting to anger, anxiety, and stress. If things you used to do seem unattainable now then break them out in small goals, and work towards achieving them. You need to keep your body and mind busy with positive thoughts and actions. I know, I know, it's all easier said then done. But eventually you will do it anyway because life will take over.

I strongly believe that we do not hear majority of success stories. Most people no longer have the need to look for positive stories or share their pain, so they never come back. For all we know T may go away in 99% of cases.

I like this post in "Success Stories". People may recover even after 2 years, even after acoustic trauma.

What I do (updated)
  • 1-2 cardio activities per day. My options include walks, run, play soccer, crossfit, or work in garden.
  • Drink chamomile on stressful days
  • Drink liquid vitamin
  • Drink fresh vegetable juice
  • Intermittent fasting 16/8. Also, as part of general diet I cut out bread, limit sweets and salty foods
PS. As I write this over 100 individuals around the world realized that they are no longer hearing T
