I've had tinnitus for about a year now, but I've coped quite well as time has gone on. I've been very careful about noise exposure and always use ear protection in loud situations.

Last week a new noise hit me, in my right ear only. Its a lower tone, an intermittent beeping that alternates between a lower note and a higher note, and sometimes off completely. Kind of sounds like the "morse code" that others have mentioned.

Anyways - I just thought I'd write a post here because figuring out the cause is pretty interesting. Its either A) From high altitude, as I am out west in Denver for the first time. B) From a sinus infection, which my doctor just told me I had a few days ago. C) Additional noise exposure from a not-too-noisy bar the day before.

Anyone have any idea as to which is most likely? Anyone gotten a new T sound from a sinus infection or higher elevation? Thanks all.
