I read studies that shows nac + alcar combined has a better protection, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15966690

So I see there is a huge thread on NAC alone, but is there anyone who take alcar at the same time with nac prior to noise exposure or after?

How many mg of alcar is it recommended? and how many mg is it recommended for nac?

Can anyone get the actual paper? The problem with those animal studies is that they often use toxic ridiculously high doses of their compounds in order to show efficacy. The safety of the mice is of little concern as they just chop em up to look at them under the microscope.

That study was done in 2005. No harm in taking NAC or ALCAR as I have been for years. But d-methionine has surpassed both in clinical studies and effectiveness. Problem is it's years away from being available.
