New Here, Not New to Tinnitus

Hello everyone!

I'm new here, but not to T. I had T for about 7 months in 2006/2007. I'm not sure what caused it, but I guess it was a combination of stress and TMJ disorder. Physiotherapy and CBT played a great part in my recovery.

Now (about 2 months ago) I've noticed the T again after an infection in my wisdom tooth, penicillin treatment (and stress). I still have some TMJ disorder, but no hearing loss. My question is related to the penicillin though. Any experience of drug induced T? (I'm not sure if the penicillin was the cause...).

Did you get to hear silence again or did you hear T only in quiet rooms?

I experienced silence, although I've had some short episodes of T over the years.

 

It is reassuring to know that silence is possible. Thank you for giving us hope.

Do you remember your last month with T ten years ago? Did you hear T only in quiet rooms just before you began hearing silence?
