Hi.
Im a new member and my english is not the best - sorry for that. Anyway, I am very curious to read all of your experiences and storys. My tinnitus started when i was 12 years old (1999-2000). The cause is unknown.
For about a week ago I took some tests on the internet (frequency test, "regular" hearing test and masking sounds in different frequencies). The sound level was not high. Ever since then, my tinnitus has changed. Now I have a VERY high-pitched tone that wont go away. It is constant (and has been since the tests). Of course I am starting to freak out a little bit - I have never experienced this before. My tinnitus has not changed for 15 years, so why now...?
I never thought low/moderate sounds in different frequenies could do more harm to the ear. For me it does not makes sense. Could I have damaged my ear and increased my tinnitus? Does anyone else had experiences like this?
