New Low Droning Sound

Hi Everyone,
I have been reading posts for a while now and I have to say how impressed I am with the level of support here!
After a bad cold I now have a really bad, humming low sound which is so annoying!!! Does anyone else have experience with this?
I have always had the loud, hissing sound, but this is something else.
